At the border of Nowsud, Kermanshah province, Iranian armed forces opened fire on a group of Kolbars, resulting in the death of Peyman Ahmadi, a Kolbar from Javanrour.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Saturday, March 23, 2024, government forces stationed along the border in Nowsud region indiscriminately fired upon a group of Kolbars. Among them, Peyman Ahmadi, a 35-year-old resident of Kakarshid village in Javanroud, lost his life in the gunfire.
Sources reveal that following the fatal shooting, Peyman Ahmadi's remains were transferred to a medical facility in Nowsud city. Regrettably, his family has yet to receive his body for burial rites.
Peyman Ahmadi's untimely demise marks the first reported Kolbar fatality at the hands of Iranian forces in the new solar year.
