Three Prisoners, Including One Afghanistani National, Executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison

The execution orders for three prisoners previously convicted of "premeditated murder" and "rape" were carried out in the Ghezel Hesar prisons in Karaj. The identities of two of these prisoners have been confirmed as Sadegh Tajik, a resident of Varamin and an Afghanistani national, and Faramarz Tayeb Bakhsh.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the execution of three prisoners, including an Afghanistani national named Sadegh Tajik, was carried out at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj for the crime of premeditated murder.

Simultaneously, a 34-year-old prisoner named Faramarz Tayeb Bakhsh, previously condemned to death for "rape," had his execution carried out.

Additionally, according to the government site Rokna, the execution of a prisoner from Tehran named Hossein, who had murdered three family members in the Bagh Feyz area of Tehran four years ago, was also carried out. The Rokna report does not mention the location of the execution, but sources from Hengaw have reported it took place at Ghezel Hesar Prison.

The news of the execution of two other prisoners had not been announced in government media, especially those close to the regime, by the time this news was compiled.
