Kurdish Kolbar killed by direct Fire from the Iranian Border Guards

Ata Rostampour, a Kolbar from Saqqez, was fatally shot by Iranian Border Guards at the "Hangazhal" border area in Baneh, Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj). His death marks the third incident within the past week where Kolbars have been killed by direct fire from Iranian Border Guards.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Ogranization for Human Rights, in the early morning hours of Monday, April 6, 2024, the Iranian Border Guards stationed at the border of “Hangazhal” in Baneh opened fire on a group of Kolbars, during which a Kolbar from Saqqez with the identity of Atta Rostampour, 40 years old, was killed.

Ata Rostampour's body has been transferred to Salah Aldin Hospital in Baneh. However, his family has not yet received it, according to informed sources.
 
It should be mentioned that this Kolbar was married and father of 2 children.
