Iranian Prisons Execute Four Prisoners

The execution sentences of four Bakhtiari individuals, identified as Masoud Estaki, Jafar Hassanzadeh, Majid Rezaei, and Mostafa Aghamohammadi, were implemented in Isfahan Central Prison. These individuals were previously sentenced to death for homicide charges.

According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at Isfahan Central Prison (Dashtgardi Prison) on the morning of Sunday, May 12, 2024.

According to a trusted source, these Bakhtiari prisoners were all residents of Zainabiyeh city in Isfahan Province. They were arrested ten years ago in a joint case on charges of intentionally murdering Masoud Estaki's cousin. They had been sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It is noteworthy that these four individuals, along with another suspect identified as Mahmoud Ataie Nikouyabad, had been transferred to solitary confinement for the execution of their capital punishment on May 7, 2024.

As of the release date of this news, there has been no news coverage on these executions by government media, particularly media affiliated with the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
