Another Kurdish Kolbar fatally shot by Iranian Border Guards

Wahed Qaderpour, a young Kolbar from Saqqez, was fatally shot by Iranian Border Guards at the "Hangazhal" border in Baneh, Kurdistan (Sanandaj) Province. Considering this incident, since the beginning of this year, an average of three Kolbers have been killed each month by direct fire from Iranian Border Guards along the borders of Baneh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday morning, May 16, 2024, young Kolbar Wahed Qaderpor, from the village of "Daren Ziyarat" in Saqqez, was shot and killed by Iranian Border Guards.

Hengaw has learned, the Iranian Border Guards, stationed at the border of Hangazhal in Baneh, killed this Kolbar with an AK-47 weapon without prior warning.

Based on the statistics complied in the Statistics and Documents Center of Hengaw, Wahed Qaderpour is the 12th Kolbar that has been killed by direct fire of the Iranian Border Guards since the beginning of 2024.
