Iran Executed the Death Sentence of Two Prisoners

Two Turkish prisoners, Fardin Musazadeh and Mehdi Khadem, who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, were executed in Ardebil Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, May 19, 2024, the death sentences of 37-year-old Fardin Musazadeh and 24-year-old Mehdi Khadem, both from Meshkinshahr in Ardebil province, were carried out in the central prison of Ardebil.

According to informed sources, Fardin Musazadeh was arrested five years ago and Mehdi Khadem four years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

At the time of writing this report, the news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the government media, especially the media related to the judiciary.
