Baloch Man Arrested by Iranian Security Forces

A Baloch man from Khash, Sistan-Baluchestan province, identified as Arsalan Rigi, has been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on June 27, 2024, Arsalan Rigi, a 31-year-old resident of Khash, was arrested by the Iranian Intelligence forces.
Reports indicate that Rigi had previously been involved in a verbal altercation with an Iranian plainclothes government agent. Subsequently, on June 27, he was arrested on Taleghani Street in Khash by several Iranian Intelligence officers.
As of the release of this report, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for Rigi's arrest, the charges against him, or his current whereabouts.
