One Kurdish Kolbar Fatally Shot and Three Others Injured by Direct Fire From the IRGC Forces

The IRGC forces opened fire on a group of Kolbars in Qandil Mountain, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Kian Zini, and the injuries of at least three others.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the IRGC forces stationed at the heights of Qandil mountain opened fire on several Kolbars from close range, and as a result, a 19-year-old Kolbar from Sardasht, West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province, named Kian Zini, was killed.

Hengaw’s sources state that two Kolbars named Keyvan Qaderi and Peyman Peyman, along with a Kolbar nicknamed "Diyar," were severely injured and transferred to medical centers.

These Kolbars are from the village of "Rahsheh Remi" in Sardasht, West Azerbaijan Province.
