Iran Border Guards shoot and injure Kurdish Kolbar at Saqqez border

A Kurdish Kolbar from Bukan, identified as Omid Afrouzeh, was severely injured after being shot directly by Iran border guards in the border areas of Saqqez.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, Omid Afrouzeh, a 28-year-old Kolbar from Bukan, was injured by direct fire from border guards in the “Bastam” area of Saqqez.

The shooting left Afrouzeh in critical condition, and he was subsequently transferred to “Shafa” Hospital in Saqqez for urgent medical treatment.
