Young Kurdish Kolbar injured by border guards in Baneh

A young Kolbar from Saqqez, identified as Saro Waisi, was seriously injured following direct gunfire by Iran’s border guard forces in the border area of Baneh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Monday, January 20, 2025, Saro Waisi, a 20-year-old resident of Saqqez, was severely wounded after being directly shot by border guards in the “Hengazhal” border region of Baneh.

Sources report that the young Kolbar, who was unarmed and carrying no goods, was shot in the leg with a Kalashnikov rifle. He has been transferred to Salah Aldin Hospital in Baneh for medical treatment.
