Eight Balochs arrested by security forces in Hirmand

At least eight Balochs, identified as Arash Narouei, Arya Narouei, Ashkan Narouei, Bahman Abil, Mehran Narouei, Baset Barahouei, Khalegh Sasouli, and Kader Narouei, were arrested by security forces at the Milak border terminal in Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, Arya Narouei, 19, Ashkan Narouei, 19, Baset Barahouei, approximately 20, Arash Narouei, 22, Mehran Narouei, 22, Khalegh Sasouli, 43, Kader Narouei, 43, and Bahman Abil, 44, were arrested at the Milak border in Hirmand County.

These people, who were working at the Milak border terminal—some as passenger transport drivers—were reportedly arrested with extreme violence by the Hirmand Intelligence Department.

As of the time of this report, there is no information available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges brought against them, their fate, or their place of detention.
