Security forces arrest three Balochs in Khash

The security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an armed raid on the home of Mahmoud Shahnavazi, a resident of Khash in Sistan- Baluchestan province, arrested him along with two others, identified as Mehrab Shahnavazi and Jaber Shahnavazi, and transferred them to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Tuesday, February 11, 2024, intelligence forces stormed the home of Mahmoud Shahnavazi, a 30-year-old father of two from the village of Islamabad, a suburb of Khash, and arrested him along with two others, Mehrab Shahnavazi and Jaber Shahnavazi. The arrests were carried out by the local Intelligence Department forces.

According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, plainclothes intelligence officers, traveling in four Toyota Hilux vehicles, raided Mahmoud Shahnawazi’s home in Islamabad, opened fire, and subsequently arrested them.

As of now, no precise information is available regarding the reasons for their arrest, the charges against them, or their place of detention.
