Two Balochs forcibly arrested in Qasr-e Qand; Mother of one detainee dies of Heart Attack

Two young Balochs from Qasr-e Qand, identified as Ahmad Khakizehi and Ahmad Zeinoddini, were forcibly arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ahmad Khakizehi’s mother, who witnessed the brutal treatment of her son, suffered a fatal heart attack.

According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Sunday, February 16, 2025, 19-year-old Ahmad Zeinoddini and 20-year-old Ahmad Khakizehi, both from Zeinoddini village in Qasr-e Qand, Sistan-Baluchestan, were arrested by Intelligence Department forces.

As reported by Haalvsh, Rahimeh Khakizehi, approximately 52 years old, the mother of Ahmad Khakizehi—one of the detainees and a mother of five other children—suffered a heart attack and lost her life at the moment she witnessed her son being beaten.
