‘Honor killing’ in Mashhad: Husband murders wife

A woman identified as Hanana Farjami was killed  by her husband in Mashhad through strangulation. The motive behind the murder is reported to be related to so-called “honor.” 
 
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, Hanana Farjami was murdered by her husband in the Razaviyeh district of Mashhad. 
 
A source familiar with the case confirmed that the assailant killed his wife in an honor-related crime.
