Marivan – Young Kurdish Kolbar Danial Salehi severely injured by Iranian Border Forces’ gunfire

Danial Salehi, a 24-year-old Kurdish kolbar from the Marivan region, was seriously wounded after being shot by Iran’s border guards.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in the border highlands near Marivan.

Salehi, a resident of the village of Duplure, was directly targeted by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s border guards while carrying goods along the mountainous paths.

Sources told Hengaw that Salehi was shot without any prior warning.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Salehi was transferred to a hospital in Marivan for urgent medical treatment.
