Fate of two Baloch brothers remains unknown a month after arrest

Two Baloch brothers from Zahedan, identified as Sadis Rigi and Ovais Rigi, were arrested nearly a month ago by Iranian security forces in Khash and Zahedan. They were transferred to Zahedan Prison, but their fate remains unknown.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 20-year-old Sadis Rigi was arrested at a religious school in Khash. The following day, his 25-year-old brother, Ovais Rigi, was detained in front of the Tablighi Jamaat center in Zahedan.

As reported by Haalvsh news outlet, both brothers are currently being held in Zahedan Prison.

Despite nearly a month since their arrest, their families’ repeated inquiries into their condition or the charges against them have gone unanswered.
