Iranian authorities arrest two Kurdish men in Oshnavieh and Bukan

Iranian security forces have arrested two Kurdish men, Rasoul Asen and Hiwa Mohammadi, in the cities of Oshnavieh (Shno) and Bukan and transferred them to undisclosed locations.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammadi, a resident of Legz village in Bukan, was detained on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, after being summoned to the city’s Intelligence Department. He was taken to an unknown location. Sources said he had also been summoned the previous week, when his mobile phone was confiscated.

Asen, 48, was detained in Oshnavieh by Intelligence Department agents. A source close to his family reported that he was arrested around 9:30 a.m. during a raid on Sunday, September 21, 2025, and later transferred to an Intelligence detention facility in Urmia.

The reasons for their arrests, the charges against them, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.
