Homeira Fazel-Manesh, a young woman from Shiraz, was killed by her husband, who buried her body in a remote area and kept it hidden for 50 days.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Fazel-Manesh was killed on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The suspect confessed to burying her body in a deserted location, where it remained concealed until his arrest.

Sources familiar with the case said the murder occurred after Fazel-Manesh filed a complaint about her husband’s relationship with another woman.

Fazel-Manesh was the mother of an 11-year-old child.
