Hossein Afrasiab violently arrested in Shahin Shahr by Iranian authorities

Iranian authorities violently arrested Hossein Afrasiab, a resident of Shahin Shahr in Isfahan Province, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights shows that Afrasiab was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department at the entrance to the city on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Informed sources state that plainclothes intelligence agents stormed Afrasiab’s personal vehicle without presenting a judicial warrant, forcibly detained him, and severely beat him inside the car during the arrest.

The reasons for Afrasiab’s arrest and any charges against him remain unknown.
