Fate of two Baloch brothers remain unknown following arrest by Iranian security forces in Chabahar

Eleven days after the arrest of two Baloch brothers, Nourbakhsh Jadgal and Yahya Jadgal, by Iranian security forces in Chabahar, no information has been made available regarding their whereabouts, health condition, or legal status.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Iranian government forces raided the brothers’ workplaces and homes in Chabahar on Monday, May 19, 2026, and arrested them without presenting any warrant or legal authorization.
According to the Balch news outlet Haalvsh, the two detainees have been identified as 34-year-old Nourbakhsh Jadgal, who is married, and 27-year-old Yahya Jadgal, known as Adham. Both are residents of Chabahar.
Nourbakhsh Jadgal worked in the security and protection department of the Chabahar Petrochemical Complex and was arrested at the entrance to his workplace. His brother, Yahya Jadgal, was employed on the Chabahar railway construction project and was detained at his worksite at the same time.
Despite repeated and ongoing inquiries by the Jadgal family to judicial authorities, the prosecutor’s office, and security agencies in Chabahar, officials have provided no information regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges against the two brothers, or their exact place of detention.
