Baloch man detained at checkpoint in Hormozgan Province, whereabouts unknown

Iranian government forces have detained a Baloch man, Arman Zarehizadeh, in Sirik in Hormozgan province, and his whereabouts remain unknown days after his arrest.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights,
Zarehizadeh was arrested on April 9, 2026, at a checkpoint in Sirik by government forces.

Sources said the arrest was carried out without a warrant, and authorities have refused to provide any explanation regarding the reasons for his detention or possible charges.

Despite repeated inquiries by his family to judicial and security authorities in Sirik, no information has been provided about his condition, place of detention or legal status.
