Young kolbar Arvin Azizi seriously wounded by border forces

Arvin Azizi, a 20-year-old Kurdish kolbar from Saqqez, was seriously wounded after Border Regiment forces opened fire on him along the Hangeh Zhal border area in Baneh.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Azizi, from the village of Qureh Darreh in Saqqez County, was shot by Border Regiment forces in the Hangeh Zhal border area of Baneh on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Informed sources said he was shot in the abdomen with a Kalashnikov rifle.

Following the shooting, Azizi was transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
