At least 30 Kurdish Kolbars and tradesmen were killed and wounded on the borders of Kurdista

At least 30 Kurdish Kolbars and tradesmen were killed and wounded on the borders of Kurdistan in July. These statistics have decreased by 7 cases (19%) compared to the previous month. Last month, 37 Kolbars and tradesmen had been killed and injured. 
 

According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in August 2022, at least 30 Kolbars and tradesmen were killed and wounded on the borders of Kurdistan. 93% of the cases have been killed by direct fire from the Iranian armed forces. 
 

According to the report, 7 Kolbars and tradesmen have lost their lives, and 23 Kolbars and tradesmen have been injured; 3 of them were teenagers.

  
Most of the registered victims are in Kurdistan province (Sanandaj) with 20 cases.
 

Reasons for death or injury 

Direct fire: 28 cases (7 killed and 21 wounded) equal to 93% of the total cases 

Mine explosion: 2 cases (2 wounded) equal to 7% of the total cases 
 

Separation of victims by province 

West Azerbaijan Province (Urmia): 4 cases including (1 killed and 3 injured) 
Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj): 20 cases including (5 killed and 15 injured) 
Kermanshah province: 6 cases including (1 killed and 5 injured) 
 

Armed Forces Shooter 

Border Regiment: 27 cases (5 killed and 22 wounded) 
Police Forces: 1 case (1 wounded)
IRGC forces: 2 cases ( 2 killed)
