Hengaw: Five detainees from Baneh who were detained last Novamber are still being held in Sanandaj Central Prison, and the intelligence service prevents of their temporary release.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, five Kurdish detainees after five months of their detention are still being held in Central Prison of Sanandaj. They are identified as Rafiq Pezeshki, 40, Karim Pezeshki, Behzad Pezeshki, 32, Jamal Morovati, 46, and Saeed Rashidi, 60.

Although the five citizens after three months of interrogation were moved from Intelligence Detention Center to Sanandaj Central Prison two months ago, they have not been tried yet due to pressure from the intelligence service, and this security agency opposes their temporary release on bail.

These five Kurdish citizen were arrested by Intelligence Service forces along with 14 more citizens on Thursday, November 11, 2022, and moved to the Detention Center of Intelligence office in Sanandaj.

The fourteen citizens were released on bail, but the other five detainees are still being held in prison.
