Execution of Hedayat Abdollahpour Confirmed by Iran's Supreme Court

Hengaw: Iran's Supreme Court confirms the execution verdict for the political prisoner Hedayat Abdollahpour in Urmia's central prison.

On Monday October 8, the execution verdict of Hedayat Abdollahpour, political prisoner from Shno(Oshnavieh) has been officially passed on his family and his lawyer by Iran's Supreme Court (branch 47), according to a report to Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.

In February 2016, Hedayat Abdollahpour was senteced to death by the Rvolutionary Court of Urmia (2end branch) on charges of cooperating with Democratic Party of Kurdistan of Iran in the battle of "Qara Saqal" between PDKI's Peshmarga forces and Iran's revolutionary Guards.

6 other people in relation with this case have been sentenced to long time imprisonment and the verdicts have been confirmed.

The confinement verdicts are in the order of Hasel Azizi 25 years, Mohammad Zaher Faramarzi 20 years, Yaqub Ba-ekram 15 years, Jalal Masrouri 15 years, Kamal Masrouri 11 years and Sadiq Ba-ekram 10 years of confinement.

In June 2016, these 6 people along with tens of others in Shno(Oshnavieh) were sentenced to death on charges of cooperating with PDKI.

Hedayat Abdollahpour is married and father to Sirwan and Kurdistan.

On Saturday June 30, Farhad Abdollahpour, Hedayat's brother, was arrested by the intelligence forces of Shno(Oshnavieh) and after 3 months (On September 16) was set free temporarily with 200000000 collateral.

On July 2, Marjan Behrouzi, Mother of Hedayat Abdollahpour the political prisoner who is sentenced to death and Farhad tried to burn herself in front of Oshnavieh's governor office in the objection to his son's execution verdict. She was saved by the locals, thou.

Over the past 3 years, more than 90 Kurd citizens in Shno(Oshnavieh) have been arrested on the charges of cooperating with kurdish opposition parties of Iran.
