A young man from "Barjo" village in the "Khalifan" district of Mahabad, identified as Diar Abbasi, was arrested by security forces on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, and transferred to an unknown location.
According to an informed source, the Intelligence Service forces first raided his father's house, and after searching the house, arrested Diar Abbasi in the Esteghlal Square of Mahabad without court documents.
Diar Abbasi had previously been a member of the "Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran" in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq for some time and had returned to his hometown after leaving the party.
It has been reported that Diar Abbasi has been summoned to the Mahabad Intelligence Office several times in recent weeks.
