Kamyar Taheri, a resident of Mahmudabad and a native of Baneh, was abducted by Iranian government forces during the uprising in Amol city in the middle of November. After being detained and interrogated, he was sent to this city's prison and is still there.

Kamyar Taheri, 39, was taken to the prison in Amol after roughly 20 days in a security force's detention center in Amol, according to the report the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received.

The government authorities made it clear at the one meeting Kamyar Taheri's family had with him that they would not approve his release, not even under certain conditions.

It should be noted that Baneh native Kamyar Taheri has been employed by the municipality of Mahmudabad for the past 10 years.

This citizen, who is denied the right to access a lawyer, was abducted by government forces on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, on "Haraz" street in Amol city.
