5 kidnapped Kurdish citizens from Mahabad transferred to the central prison of this city

 After nearly 40 days after the kidnapping of five Kurdish citizens from the "Kosekariz" village of Mahabad, named Mohammad Rash, Mohammad Tahir Ahmadi Moghadam, Khalil Dukanlo Milan, Hemin Sargoli, and Saber Dukanlo Milan, were transferred to Mahabad Central Prison.

 According to the report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, these citizens did not have any meetings or even phone calls with their families during the period of detention until they were transferred to Mahabad Central Prison.

 Mohammad Rash, Mohammad Taher Ahmadi Moghadam, Khalil Dukanlo Milan, Hayman Sargoli, and Saber Dukanlo Milan were kidnapped by the Iranian government forces on November 21, 2022. 

 Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, last year, more than 7000 Kurdish citizens were arrested by Iranian security institutions.

 So far, the identities of 2,212 of these people have been verified for Hengaw, most of them have been arrested on charges of political activity, participation in the protests, and cooperation with Kurdish opposition parties.
