Two arrested brothers were transferred to the Mahabad prison

Farooq Mohammad Rahimi and Aram Mohammad Rahimi, whose names appeared on the list of numerous detainees in the last week of November 2022 in the city of Mahabad, have recently been transferred to the prison of this city.

According to the report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, these two brothers from Mahabad, who have been denied face-to-face meetings with their families and access to a lawyer, were transferred to Mahabad prison on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Farooq and Aram Mohammad Rahimi were transferred to one of the Iranian government's detention centers after being arrested on November 21, 2022.

Earlier, Hengaw reported about the massive arrest of Kurdish citizens from Mahabad in the last week of November. Farooq Mohammad Rahimi and Aram Mohammad Rahimi were also listed among the names of the 18 arrested citizens.
