Following a violent attack on Fardin Nabi's residence and his absence from home, Iranian government forces abducted and brutally abused his younger brother, Faraydoon Nabi.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, the Iranian government's repressive forces took 21-year-old Faraydoon Nabi as a hostage in exchange for his older brother, Fardin Nabi.

According to Hengaw's informed sources, these forces have openly declared this and have threatened the family that if Fardin Nabi does not surrender himself to the security forces, their other son will face consequences.

In this regard, the Iranian repression forces stole the personal property of other family members, including the mobile phones of Faraydoon Nabi's parents and sisters, as well as the cell phone of Faraydoon Nabi's wife, and no security or judicial official took responsibility.

Despite repeated follow-ups by this family to find out about their child's condition, no results have been achieved.

According to some reports, Faraydoun Nabi was transferred to Naghadeh prison after several months of detention in the detention center of the Iranian Intelligence in Piranshahr.

Taking Iranian citizens hostage by the forces of the Iranian government is a criminal act that has been internationally criminalized, such as in the International Criminal Court.
