A Kolbar from Baneh named Wria Sharifi was shot and killed by border regiment forces while carrying goods at the borders of this city.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday evening, June 24, 2023, border regiment forces opened fire on a group of Kolbar at the Hang-e Zhaleh border in Baneh, killing Wria Sharifi.
Wria Sharifi, 27 years old was shot in the head by border regiment forces.
Government forces opened fire on these Kolbars without prior warning as they entered Iran's border and approached the village of Hang-e Zhaleh, an informed source told Hengaw.
Based on the data registered in the statistics and documentation Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during the three months of the spring season, eight Kolbars were killed and 36 others were severely injured. Six of these Kolbars lost their lives at the Baneh borders.
