During the act of border couriering in the highlands of Nowsud, two Kurdish “Kolbar” (couriers) by the names Layegh Darvishi and Arkan Rahmani were wounded as a result of direct gunfire by border patrols.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday evening, August 1st, 2023, due to the shooting by border guards stationed at the Nowsud border, at least two Kurdish couriers named Layegh Darvishi and Arkan Rahmani were injured.
 

Informed sources revealed that the two couriers were targeted by border patrol with direct shots, injuring them in the back and arm with hunting rifles. They were later transferred to "Qods" Hospital in the city of Paveh for medical treatment.
 

Based on the statistics documented at the Hengaw’s Statistics and Documentation Center, during July 2023, at least 20 “Kolbars” (border couriers) have been killed or wounded in Kurdistan borders, with 14 of those cases recorded in the Nowsud border.
