Solmaz Hasan-Zadeh, a member of the Justice seeking families of fallen protesters, and the sister of the late Mohammad Hasan-Zadeh, a victim of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” movement in the city of Bukan, were detained along with three of her companions, Shaida Rezaei, Smin Khayat, and Shirin Khayat, by Iranian government security entities.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Solmaz Hasan-Zadeh, the sister of Mohammad Hasan-Zadeh, a fatality of the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” movement in the city of Bukan, was arrested along with three of her friends, Shaida Rezaei, Shirin Khayat, and her sister Smin Khayat, by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to an informed source, these four individuals were detained while traveling from Bukan toward the city of Saqqez. They managed to convey their detention through a brief telephone call.
It is worth noting that Shirin Khayat is a medical doctor and a member of the Iranian Midwifery Scientific Association.
As of the time of this reporting, precise details regarding the reasons for the detention of these four Kurdish women and their place of detention remain undisclosed.
Solmaz Hasan-Zadeh had been previously detained on September 5th, along with her father.
