In the border regions of Baneh and Nowsud near Paveh, five Kolbars have suffered injuries as a result of direct gunfire and physical assaults by government armed forces. The identities of four of them—Johar Moradi, Hamid Ahmadi, Idris Esmaili, and a verified individual named Yahya—have been confirmed.
According to reports obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, a 60-year-old Kolbar, whose identity is currently under investigation, sustained injuries from direct gunfire by government forces at the Nowsud border.
On Tuesday, January 16, another Kolbar named Yahya suffered severe leg injuries due to direct gunfire from government armed forces at the Nowsud border in Paveh.
On January 16, 2024, simultaneously, 30-year-old Idris Esmaili, a father from Saqqez, suffered critical injuries from direct gunfire by border regiment forces at the Baneh border. Subsequently, he was abandoned, unable to move. Local residents transported this Kolbar to the hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical.
Additionally, on the evening of Sunday, January 14, Johar Moradi (28 years old) and Hamid Ahmadi (23 years old) from Saqqez were wounded by direct fire from government forces at the Baneh border.
