The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran subjected Behnam Sharifian, a young Kurdish Kolbar from Saqqez, to a harrowing ordeal. Following his arrest, he was blindfolded, handcuffed, and physically assaulted to such a degree that his bone structure suffered fractures across multiple parts of his body.

According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Behnam Sharifian, a 30-year-old Kolbar from Saqqez, endured severe bodily harm due to the relentless aggression orchestrated by government forces stationed at the "Hangazhall" border in Baneh.

According to an informed source, Behnam Sharifian is currently under medical care at Salah Aldin Hospital in Baneh, where medical practitioners indicate that he must undergo several surgical procedures to regain his health.

The source further revealed that government forces inflicted severe beatings on Mr. Sharifian's body using AK-47 firearms, resulting in fractures to his bones across multiple parts of his body.
