Two Kolbars, Sa'di Mahmoudi and Omid Azari, hailing from Piranshahr, were injured by direct fire from Iranian border regiment forces at the borders of the city.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, border regiment forces fired directly at a group of Kolbars near the border of Haji Omeran, Piranshahr, Urmia province, on the evening of Friday, February 16, 2024, resulting in injuries to Sa'di Mahmoudi and Omid Azari, both from Piranshahr.
An informed source revealed that the two Kolbars were subsequently transferred to medical centers in Soran city, Kurdistan region, with Sa'di Mahmoudi being further transferred to a medical center in Erbil city due to the severity of his injuries.
Hengaw has learned that Sa'di Mahmoudi sustained three gunshot wounds to his leg.
