Iranian Border Guards Injure 20 Kolbars at Nowsud Border in Kurdistan

At least 20 Kolbars from various cities, including Dalahu, Saravabad, Marivan, Paveh, Javanroud, and Salas-e Babajani, were injured by direct fire from Iranian border guards at the Nowsud border. Additionally, the guards confiscated the goods belonging to these Kolbars.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Saturday, February 24, 2024, Iranian Border Guards stationed at the Nowsud border in Kermanshah province shot at a group of Kolbars with shotguns. The injuries sustained by the Kolbars range from stomach, back, head, hand, and foot injuries, and they were subsequently transported to medical centers in Paveh city.

Hengaw has obtained the identities of 17 of the injured Kolbars, including Mohammad Moradi, Behnam Khosravi, Hossein Bahrami, Ahsan Hosseini, Tawfiq Ahmadi from Javanroud, Mobeen Karami, Milad Rostayi, Farzad Rostami, and Amir Rahmani from Dalahu, Arman Rahmani, Mahmoud Karami, and Maysam Amini from Salas-e Babajani, Kaveh and Mehdi from Marivan, and Foad Feyzi and Yahya Nouri from Saravabad, and Maysam Rostami from Paveh.

In addition to injuring and assaulting the Kolbers, the Iranian border guards also seized their goods.
